Hair has always been part of my story, even though my path into the industry wasn’t straightforward. I began my career in a well-known London salon straight from school — a valuable but demanding experience that eventually made me lose my passion for hair.  I stepped away for a while until I found myself obsessing over other stylists work on social media endlessly. And then it dawned on me, I can do what they're doing.

I returned to the industry as a self-employed stylist and it changed everything. I found my flare again and started creating work I was genuinely proud of. When my daughter Isabella was born, my drive shifted — I didn’t just want to do hair, I wanted to build something. I pressed reset, invested in training, and rebuilt my career on my own terms.

Before long, I was fully booked with a growing waiting list, which gave me the confidence to open my own salon — now known as JOANNAS.

 

The salon reflects who I am today: warm, welcoming and creative, built on genuine connection and modern techniques, supported by a talented team of stylists who share the same vision.
