The name "Eleven" originates from our salon’s location at 11a The Street in Shorne, we wanted to create a brand that felt personal yet distinct from Joanna's, reflecting our commitment to growth and individuality while staying true to our roots. We are an in-house training academy, redefining the standard of hair extension education.

Joanna, Company Director of Joanna’s Salon, has over 19 years of experience in the hairdressing world, including 8 years specialising in hair extensions. Shannah, a trusted stylist at Joanna’s, is known for her exceptional skill and relentless drive. Her talent and client dedication saw her become fully booked in under 12 months, earning over 1,000 engaged social followers and becoming the go-to stylist for flawless, Instagram-worthy transformations. ​ Both founders have completed intensive training and hold full teaching qualifications, meaning every course delivered through Academy Eleven is fully accredited and recognised within Beauty Industry Standards.

We specialise in training the most in-demand hair extension methods on the market — individual bonds, micro wefts and tapes. These techniques continue to dominate the industry because they offer clients versatility, natural results and long-lasting wear. By learning these methods, you’ll be able to offer services that clients actively request in salons every day, allowing you to build a profitable extension business from the moment you qualify. Individual Bonds (Stick Tips, Nano Rings & Ultra Tips) involve attaching small, discreet strands to the natural hair for a customised, natural-looking finish. Best suited for clients with finer hair, those seeking a subtle blend, or clients who prefer lightweight, flexible extensions that move like natural hair - this method is particularly popular for adding volume and length without bulk. Tape-In Extensions use flat adhesive wefts that are applied in panels for a seamless, fast installation with minimal stress on the natural hair. Best suited for clients with medium to thick hair who want fuller, longer hair with a smooth blend - they’re ideal for clients who want a low-tension method that lies flat to the head. Micro Weft Extensions are secured using tiny micro rings sewn into a continuous row, creating a sturdy base for adding volume and density. Best for: clients with medium to thick hair who want maximum fullness and faster maintenance - this method is great for glam, high-volume looks and offers excellent longevity when maintained correctly.

All of our courses are fully certified and ABT accredited, ensuring they are recognised across the beauty and hair industry. Each student receives our exclusive Academy Eleven e-book packed with tips, tricks, and step-by-step guidance, along with a professional hair extension kit to support your learning and future services. We continue to support you beyond the training day, and upon successful completion you will be awarded your official certification.

Choose to train in one, two, or all three hair extension methods, each designed to give you the knowledge, confidence, and hands-on skills needed to become a certified expert in your chosen techniques. No prior hairdressing qualification is required to enrol. Throughout your training, you will learn how to professionally colour match for a seamless blend, apply extensions with precision, and conduct in-depth client consultations. We also cover cutting and styling techniques to achieve flawless finishes, full aftercare including maintenance and safe removal, and social media and marketing strategies to help you grow and retain your client base. Intensive course information: Our accredited intensive course is designed for beginners who want hands-on practice and expert supervision from start to finish. Train on a mannequin and live model, build confidence, and leave ready to offer the service to paying clients with full accreditation.

All of our training courses take place in-salon, within our newly renovated lower floor that has been purpose-built for education. This dedicated training space provides a focused, professional environment where students can learn hands-on, work directly with models, and experience our standards of salon practice in real time.

• Full payment (or payment via Klarna or another approved payment method) is required at the time of booking to secure your place on the course. • Each master class is competitively priced at £300.00, whilst our intensive courses are £500.00. When you buy two courses at the same time, you'll receive 15% off your second master class or course. This discount is automatically applied when you select your secondary method under add ons at checkout. Book your third master class or course within six month and receive 20% off your third, for this you'll need to add promo code: SAVE20 at checkout. • Please note: If you wish to book all three master classes or courses at the same time, you must add your third separately. Our master classes run for 4.5 hours, so we can accommodate up to two methods in one day, whilst our intensive courses run for 8 hours and can therefore only accommodate up to one method per day. The second/third intensive course or third masterclass will need to be booked on a separate day. • Once you have booked your master class or intensive course, you will receive confirmation and a Welcome Email containing the agenda and daily schedule, details of your designated education and information about breaks, refreshments and any other useful details for the day.​ • Our master classes and intensive courses run every four weeks, taking place on Sundays and Mondays to suit both new learners and working stylists. • Depending on popularity at the time of booking, your training session may include up to six learners. • All our intensive courses have been specifically designed to ensure that every learner receives equal attention and hands-on support, regardless of class size. • A full training kit will be provided on the day, so there is no need to bring any materials or equipment. • Refreshments are included throughout the day. • You will receive a physical training manual to use during your session. • For our intensive courses, training is carried out on professional dolls heads and then on a live model. We can source the model for you, or you can bring your own. If you decide to bring your own, we must colour match in advance so please notify us accordingly. • For our master classes, the trainer will demonstrate on a live model — you will not need to provide a model. • Our academy and trainers are fully insured, qualified, and accredited by ABT (Associated Beauty Therapists)— a recognised industry body. • Upon successful completion of your training, you will receive your certificate of achievement printed on luxury quality paper, handed to you on the same day. • This accreditation enables you to gain your own professional insurance straight away and open trade accounts with your chosen suppliers to purchase hair extensions and professional products. • As a special perk for our learners, we've partnered with ABT insurance so all of our learners receive 10% off insurance packages using our discount code. This will be provided in your e-book that we'll send to you once you have successfully completed the course. • If you need to reschedule your training date, please contact us as soon as possible to avoid a rescheduling fee. • Master class and intensive course fees remain non-refundable but may be transferred to another date at our discretion.
